WI vs AUS: Top four players who can set the stage on fire in West Indies vs Australia 2nd T20I – Aaron Finch’s Australian side were thrashed by Australia West Indies in the first T20I of the five-match series here at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia on Saturday. For West Indies Andre Russell, Obed McCoy and Hayden Walsh were the star performer while for visitors Mitchell Marsh’s fifty and Josh Hazlewood’s three-wicket haul went in vain. In the 2nd T20I, West Indies will aim to continue the winning run while Australia will look to bounce back in the next game.

WI vs AUS: Mitchell Marsh

Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh who was promoted up the order to bat at number three played a crucial knock of 51 in the first game to help his side get a good start. However, he did not receive good support from the other end to help Australia cross the line. He scored 51 in just 31 balls with the help of two sixes and five boundaries. The right-arm pacer also picked two wickets in the game. He will aim to continue his good run in the next match.

WI vs AUS: Josh Hazlewood

Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood picked three crucial wickets of Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle and Andre Russell in the first T20I. He bowled beautifully against all three lefthanders and gave away just 12 runs in his quota of four overs. Josh will look to extend his good performance in the next game and level the series for Australia. 

WI vs AUS: Andre Russell

West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell was at the top of his game in the first T20I as he smashed Australian bowlers all-round the park. The explosive batsman scored 51 runs in just 28 balls with the help of five sixes and three fours. He also went on to take one crucial wicket of Matthew Wade who was looking dangerous in the middle. Russell, who was struggling with the form before entering the series will look to continue the momentum in the next game.

WI vs AUS: Obed McCoy

Obed McCoy has emerged as one of the best young talents in the West Indies squad. In his short career of 11 games, he has picked 18 wickets at the international level and in the last game, he broke the back of Australian batting by taking four wickets. The left-arm pacer gave away just 26 runs in his quota of four overs.
