WI vs SL T20: Sri Lanka Cricket ropes in JAT Holdings as Official Overseas Team Sponsor: The indigenous brand of Sri Lanka has announced its support towards the Sri Lanka Cricket by becoming the “Official Overseas Team Sponsor”. The partnership has been signed for the 2020-21 season until 31st, May 2021. With the brand currently extending the sponsorship to the ongoing series against West Indies, will continue to empower the upcoming Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka. The brand has also sponsored the Sri Lanka tour of South Africa and Sri Lanka’s Home Series against England previously this year.

JAT Holdings association with the Sri Lanka Cricket has been intact for quite some time, after its prolonged engagement with the board in the LPL, Australia tour in 2017, Bangladesh BPL and many more tours in the past.

With the world currently grappling with the aftermath of the turmoil wreaked by the pandemic, JAT Holding has provided the much needed support to the country’s most beloved sport. With everyone facing financial crises, this partnership ensures the profitability of the business alongside its future stability in the market.

On being asked upon his views about the partnership Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket commented, “I’m happy that JAT Holdings, a local and privately owned brand, has partnered as the ‘Official Overseas Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket’ to strengthen Sri Lanka Cricket during Sri Lanka’s Tour of South Africa, Home Series against England, the ongoing Tour of West Indies and the upcoming Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka. Cricket is all about partnerships and I’m sure this association will grow and develop, and that JAT will take this opportunity to harness their brand to become a global giant.”

On the other hand, the Managing Director of JAT Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Aelian Gunawardene, too expresses his views on the partnership, stating “We are extremely honoured, as a privately owned Sri Lankan company, to be the “Official Overseas Team Sponsor of Sri Lanka Cricket” and this has given all of us at JAT a feeling of great pride and we wish the team every success in their upcoming series. JAT Holdings constantly seeks for channels to give back to our community, and sports has always been an area of focus. This was even more evident when JAT became the only Sri Lankan company to sponsor the Kandy Tuskers cricket team at the LPL 2020.”

With this on boarding, the long standing trust between the two entities will only take leaps from here on considering that the JAT Holdings has been associated with the Sri Lanka Cricket since many years in the past for both home and abroad series and matches.
