The 2018 edition of world’s oldest grand-slam event is underway and the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has announced series of commercial renewals with the tournament sponsors.
The Wimbledon is known for building long-term alliances with its partners, and this strategy continues with a series of extensions across a variety of categories, effective for The Championships 2019 onwards.
On the Official Supplier front, the AELTC has announced the extension of Evian as the Official Water of The Championships, the extension of HSBC as the Official Bank of The Championships, the extension of Lanson as the Official Champagne of The Championships, and Stella Artois, the Official Beer of The Championships.
The commercial partnership renewals serve as a vote of confidence in the strategic vision of the AELTC and The Championships, and of the sports industry as a whole.
The Wimbledon has also added American Express as the new Official Payments Partner to its roaster, The partnership will be effective from The Championships 2019 onwards. The host of the tournament further added that further details on this new partnership will be announced later this year.
On the broadcasting front, the AELTC has announced an extension with beIN Sport for the exclusive rights to The Championships in France and the Middle East & North Africa, with NHK in Japan, and with Telefonica in Spain. In India, Star-Sports select will broadcast the Wimbledon 2018.
