England and South Africa will be battling it out in the fourth encounter of the ICC 2020 Women’s T20 World Cup at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground, Perth, later this evening.
Both the teams will have a number of concerns to address as the start their 2020 Women’s World Cup.
The England girls won’t have been impressed with themselves for their display on the present tour of Australia. In run up to the World Cup, they have suffered an early exit in the tri-series against the hosts and India. The bigger blow came in the warm-up game when they were handed a 10-wicket drubbing by the Sri Lankan women.
South Africa will have to overcome the disappointment of their back to back series defeats against India and New Zealand. However, they may still not be that upset with their showing in the warm-up games where they have won and lost a game each.
Still, in interesting contest will be in the offing in this battle of equals. Both the teams will be looking for a winning start with an opportunity to consolidate as England and South Africa both are drawn against minnow Thailand in their respective second World Cup encounters.
