The International Cricket Council has created an opportunity for the fans to sell the World Cup 2019 tickets on Official Resale Platform. The fans whose teams have made it to the knockout stage, or who are willing to watch the last-four round action, will get the tickets on face value.
The sellers will primarily be the fans whose teams have failed to progress beyond the round robin league.
ICC has reminded the fans that if they can no longer want to attend one of the #CWC19 semi-finals, they can make their ticket available for other fans to purchase at face value on the Official CWC19 Ticketing Website.
The tickets for the first semi-final at Old Trafford can be sold until 12 noon British Standard Time on Monday, July 8. Tickets for the second semi-final at Edgbaston will be on sale till 12 noon on July 10, Wednesday.
The fans can login to their CWC19 ticketing account where the ticket resale page will show all of the tickets that are eligible for resale posting. The fans can select the ticket they want to sell by clicking in the box and then press ‘Submit’.
Once the submission has been authorised by the Cricket World Cup ticketing team, the ticket will be available for others to purchase. This will be reflected under the ‘Status’ heading. ICC will promptly approve and send confirmation by email and notify on the seller’s online account.
If a ticket fails to sell, ICC will email the seller by 7 pm (BST) the day before each semi-final.
The seller will receive an automatic refund for the sold tickets within 28 days to the card on which the original transaction was made. No further action will be required.
The seller also gets the option to cancel the submission by clicking on ‘Withdraw’.
Those who have received their physical tickets can also resell the same online. Following the successfully sale, the tickets will be void and the holders do not need to return them. They will not gain access to the stadium.
