India faced huge setback when Sandeep Tomar injured himself during the practice session on Sunday evening. Tomar who was one of the big hopes for India at the World Military Games in Wuhan, China injured his leg while practicing throw-downs at the completion’s practice center.
The wrestling (Kushti) competitions of the World Military Games begins from today and Tomar’s event was slated for Monday noon. The unfortunate injury will not allow to participate in the competition as his fractured leg had to be placed in the cask last evening.
Like Turkey, Russia & USA, India has also fielded some of the big names in their squad for the World Military Games wrestling (Kushti) competitions in Wuhan, China. The 6 member Indian team included names like former Asian Championship winner Sandeep Tomar in the 57kg category.
