Wrestler Murder Case: Delhi Court extends wrestler Sushil Kumar’s police remand for 4 days- A Delhi Court on Saturday extended wrestler Sushil Kumar’s police remand for 4 days who is accused in the murder of 23-year-old Sagar Rana at Chhatrasal Stadium.

As per reports, the Delhi police had sought 7 days custody of the two-time Olympic medallist but Rohini Court only granted them 4 days of custodial interrogation. Sushil Kumar’s lawyer cannot meet him during this period.

The police custody has been increased after Sushil was produced before the court on the expiration of 6 days of previous custody approved by the Delhi court.

The prosecution has slammed Sushil for not co-operating with police during custody.

“In the past six days in police custody, they (Sushil and Ajay) didn’t co-operate with the investigation agency. Rather, they showed reluctancy making it difficult for police to investigate. This is why it is necessary for policy to get further police custody, so that crucial material evidences are not lost,” the prosecution stated as quoted by India Today.

“More arrests and identifications of other absconding accused can only be tracked if the police custody is extended,” it added.
