Wrestling: Senior World Wrestling Championship to be held in Serbia this year

Serbia Wrestling Federation of Thursday announced that they will be hosting the senior world wrestling championships this year. Originally, there was no plan to hold the event this year as it was an Olympic year, however, with the Tokyo Games postponed to 2021 due to Covid-19 it will be held in Belgrade in December. This will the first time the world championship will be organised by the Serbian federation. “We are sure that, with the support of all our institutions in the City and the Republic, we will be excellent hosts of this great competition of special interest for our country and our sport,” the report added.
