WTC Final LIVE – Ind vs NZ LIVE: Virat Kohli overtakes MS Dhoni to lead India in most Test matches- India skipper Virat Kohli has gone past former India captain MS Dhoni to lead India in most Test matches. He achieved the feat when he went out at the toss against New Zealand in the World Test Championship final at Hampshire Bowl, Southampton on Saturday. Virat Kohli is now leading India in the 61st Test, one ahead of Dhoni who led India in 60 Tests.

WTC Final LIVE – Virat Kohli’s Big Record: Notably, Virat Kohli is also the most successful skipper of the Indian Cricket Team. He has a win percentage of 59.01. He has won 36 Tests, most by India skipper. MS Dhoni is placed second with 27 wins in 60 Tests. Sourav Ganguly has also led India in 49 Test matches with 21 victories.

In the match, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to field first in the much-awaited World Test Championship (WTC) final against India on Saturday.

At the toss Virat Kohli said, “We would’ve probably bowled first as well. But runs on the board has been our strength. In a big final, runs on the board, however many, are an advantage. As you saw the makeup of our side, the balance is such that we prepare for any conditions. We’ve been performing really well in Test cricket. For us this is just a Test match we have to be professional in, have to follow our processes.”
