WWE: Eric Bischoff picks WWE over AEW in the battle between the two promotions: Former WWE Raw general manager Eric Bischoff was up for a conversation on his podcast 83 Weeks, where he spoke about the wrestling war between two of the toughest pro-wrestling promotions WWE and AEW Dynamite.
Since the inception of AEW in the field of pro-wrestling, it has been making all the right noises courtesy of the talent on display. Former WWE stars like Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, Dean Ambrose, Rusev, etc., have been doing pretty well and quite often than note WWE gets compared with it.
It was announced by AEW last week that they would return with the live crowd for the first time after the pandemic hiatus, meanwhile, WWE is also on the verge of doing the same in the same month, but there is no official announcement from their side. Speaking about this announcement from AEW, Bischoff tried to speak out the mindset of Vince McMahon on his podcast.
He said, “I don’t think Vince cares. I know wrestling fans like to think that there’s this battle between AEW and WWE. I’m not in WWE offices, so I’m going to suggest, based on my experience and the relationships that I have with people that are in WWE, the very fact that I made an appearance on AEW a month before they inducted me into the Hall of Fame suggests to me that they really don’t care. Are they aware? Sure. Is Vince McMahon walking around kicking people in the ass saying ‘Goddammit, how did they beat us to the punch?’

Bischoff was clear in his words!
Eric Bischoff in his statements throughout the podcast focused on the fact that it is the people who draw comparisons between the two promotions. And, this may be because deep down inside, they want another wrestling war.
Also, it could be based on individual choices. Like if someone is a fan of Chris Jericho or Merlo (Rusev in WWE), they will tune into AEW rather than opting for WWE.
The war of words has always been quite loud between the two promotions, and now when Eric Bischoff has praised WWE over AEW, it would be interesting to see who will be responding with words of wisdom from AEW’s side.
