WWE Money in the Bank- 3 WWE Superstars who can challenge Roman Reigns: Smackdown’s last week’s Hell in a Cell main-event match saw Roman Reigns getting the better of Rey Mysterio to retain his Universal Championship. Among the current stars on the Blue brand, not even a single individual has been pushed with utmost integrity to step up against the Tribal Chief. More often than not, it seems like only it’s Roman Reigns at the top of the ladder while every other superstar is preferred for mid-card segments. However, here I have compiled some names who can challenge the Head of the Table in the upcoming PPV event.

A rematch from Wrestlemania Backlash? Possibility? Maybe! The Swiss Superman is one of the most foremost challengers lined up to face Roman Reigns again. He was really impressive against the Tribal Chief at Wrestlemania Backlash but eventually fell just short of a victory.

Following Wrestlemania Backlash, his rivalry with Seth Rollins reignited, which means a rematch against Roman was blown away. Now, with Seth getting his redemption victory over Cesaro at the Hell in a Cell PPV, the Swiss Superman can retarget the Universal Champion.

Big E

Over and over again, Big E has desired to face Roman Reigns at some stage of his career. With the WWE majorly focusing on Roman Reigns vs. John Cena at WWE Summerslam with the Championship on the line, this one-off match between Roman and the former New Day member could be in plans at Money in the Bank PPV.

Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Money in the Bank

Here’s a name that might surprise you, but Shinsuke Nakamura never got the opportunity of facing the Head of the Table, which the Japanese star earned after winning a gauntlet match before the Royal Rumble PPV earlier this year.

Shinsuke was taken down by Jey Uso and Roman Reigns after his gauntlet match win. After his win, WWE official Adam Pearce was forcibly placed over the Japanese star to secure a pin and face Roman at the Royal Rumble PPV. The match didn’t happen though, as Pearce faked a knee injury and replaced himself with Kevin Owens. Therefore, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Roman Reigns for a one-off bout at Money in the Bank could be an idea WWE might work on.
