WWE Money in the Bank: After removing the Smackdown Women’s Championship match from WWE Money in the Bank PPV, a new championship match has been added to the match card. AJ Styles & Omos will be defending their Raw Tag Team Titles at the PPV event against The Viking Raiders.
The match was made official tonight on WWE Raw, and it was already speculated after Smackdown Women’s Championship match got removed from the match card.
WWE Money in the Bank: The Viking Raiders have cost AJ Styles many matches in the past
The Viking Raiders earned their title shot last month when they won the 5-team Battle Royal on Monday Night Raw. They outlasted 4 other teams to get a future Raw Tag Team Championship shot, and finally, Money in the Bank PPV is the platform where they will get their chance.
Ever since winning the Battle Royal, The Viking Raiders have been making sure that either Omos or AJ Styles do not win their singles or tag-team bouts. They have even cost AJ Styles an opportunity to qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and do have some momentum heading into the PPV event.
WWE Money in the Bank: Natalya has also entered the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Earlier in the day, WWE authority figure Sonya Deville announced on WWE’s Twitter handle that Natalya is the third woman from WWE Smackdown to enter the women’s ladder match. With Natalya entering the fray, only one spot is up for grabs in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match & the final name will get revealed in the upcoming WWE Smackdown slated for July 16 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
