WWE News: In the latest WWE news, former ECW star Melissa Coates aged 50, passed away due to undisclosed reasons. She took her last breath on June 23. The news of her death shocked one and all, especially the wrestling world.

WWE News: Reportedly, Melissa was going through some health concerns, and she also underwent a leg amputation due to blood clots just last year. Melissa, a former Bodybuilder, and wrestler were fondly known as ‘Super Genie’ as she accompanied the ECW great Sabu to the ring.

WWE News: The news of her death was revealed by one of her friends who took to Facebook and wrote, 

“This may be the hardest post I have ever made… Just got word from Terry ‘Sabu’ Brunk that Super Genie Melissa Coates has passed away this afternoon.” 

“I also have spoken to her brother, JR Coates and niece, Cassi. They told me to post this sad news.” 

“Sabu will not be taking calls and please respect their privacy at this time. Please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers”

 Many former and current superstars paid homage

After hearing the news of Melissa’s untimely death, many current and former WWE stars took to Twitter to pay homage to the former star.

Current WWE Smackdown Bayley tweeted,

“I had my very first match against Melissa Coates. There’s always a forever connection when you share the ring with someone and I’m honored to have that with her.

Thank you for being so sweet, helpful and busting my brace face open. I’ll truly never forget you.”

 

Former Divas and WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoneix also expressed her grief and tweeted,

“I’m heartbroken to have learned of the passing of Melissa Coates. She was a funny, kind, and gentle soul. My condolences to her family and loved ones.”

 

One-half of the Women’s Tag-Team Champions Natalya also tweeted, 

“Thinking about Melissa Coates today. I am sad to hear of her passing. Melissa was always so kind to everyone she met and had a huge heart. She said that this was her favorite picture of herself. You are loved and remembered, Melissa.”

Former WWE stars like Lance Cade, Matt Hardy, among others, also penned their heartfelt condolence messages.
