WWE News: Is Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns not going into Extreme Rules PPV?

WWE is going ahead with Finn Balor & Roman Reigns storyline as this was something dropped ahead of WWE Summerslam. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Finn Balor is the front-runner to get bashed by Roman Reigns, who will amplify his status heading into a feud against Brock Lesnar.

In the closing segment of tonight’s WWE Smackdown, Balor was the one who interrupted The Bloodline (The Usos & Roman Reigns) championship celebration by challenging the Universal Champion for a match next week. Before Roman could have responded, Balor laid an assault on the champion but only to get assaulted by the former’s cousins, The Usos.

The Street Profits came to rescue Finn Balor and even the odds. Roman Reigns escaped from the ring seeing his brothers getting a beatdown, and the night ended with Finn hitting a Coup de Grace on one of the Usos.

Later, WWE on their official site made the Universal Title match between Roman Reigns & Finn Balor official for next week. The two men will be competing in the main event of WWE Smackdown next week that would be live from Jacksonville, Florida. Until Extreme Rules, it seems like WWE is moving ahead with this storyline, and Brock Lesnar would show up after this feud gets over.
