WWE: Hulk Hogan talks Triple H comparing Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns to his feud with Ric Flair – Hulk Hogan is making the media rounds to promote the Legends Night special on Monday’s episode of Raw.
Triple H stated in an interview back in October that he thought a feud between WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Universal Champion Roman Reigns could be like The Rock vs. Steve Austin, which was a famous program back in the Attitude Era, and Hogan vs. Ric Flair.
This was before they wrestled at Survivor Series. Hogan was asked about Triple H’s comments during an interview with India Today.
Hogan noted that he’s a little biased to both of those guys as Reigns’ father Sika and his partner Afa put him on the track during his first run in WWE after he left Florida as he met up with them and drove to his first TV event. He noted that at the time they had been in the business for a long time and they groomed him as well as helped him out when he first started.
“I’ve got so much respect for the Samoan dynasty, and to understand how it peaked with The Rock, I see Roman Reigns taking it to a whole other level now. He’s solid, he’s consistent, he’s got the look and there are no holes in his work he’s really, really spot on. Then on the other hand I’ve watched Drew McIntyre, and the years of training and in-ring experience, now he’s as legit as they come.
He’s got the eye of the tiger look in his eyes. He’s got the body of a god. His work is solid, everything he does is spot on. His interviews are good. So I think Triple H was right when he’s comparing those two guys having classic matches like the stuff Flair and I had. I think he’s spot on but I think they can take it to a whole other level.”
Hogan also talked about Legends Night, Ric Flair, and more.
