TikTok has a gigantic fanbase in the United States. As per Apptopia, TikTok was the most downloaded app both in the United States and the rest of the world in 2020. Going by the sheer presence of people on TikTok, WWE has thrown a contest for the ardent fans to get an opportunity to hist WWE Summerslam.
People can audition using TikTok videos, and a pair of winners will be selected to announce matches at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on August 21.
WWE News: WWE’s vice president of digital released a statement regarding this contest
Steve Braband, the WWE vice-president of digital said that “Our engagement on TikTok to date has been incredible, and we couldn’t think of a better platform to help us find the next great ring announcer.”
In addition to searching for new ring announcers, the company is participating in TikTok Resumes as well. The “TikTok Resumes” program was launched by TikTok in July this year, and it helps companies promote applicants via video application. WWE will be using this program to find new talents, and those who get selected will get a multi-day tryout in Las Vegas, Nevada, ahead of the WWE Summerslam PPV.
