WWE NXT- Samoa Joe: WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe has relinquished his title due to “certain injuries.” Joe, who defeated Karrion Kross at NXT Takeover 36 last month to become a record 3-time champion, and now he had to relinquish the title.

WWE NXT- Samoa Joe:  Samoa Joe himself took to Twitter to reveal the news of his injury and gave an update on relinquishing the title. In the video, the 3-time NXT Champion said, (Only the part where he speaks about his injury)

“Hello, I am NXT Champion Samoa Joe. Recently WWE medical has informed me that due to certain injuries, they’d like to have me step away from the ring for a brief, but indeterminate amount of time. I realize this week we are on the cusp of a new NXT, we are on the brink of a new era in our history, and that era deserves a fighting champion. That’s why it makes a difficult decision very easy to make. Effective immediately, I relinquish the NXT championship. Best of luck to those who will vie for it. My sincerest condolences to whoever wins because I will be along shortly to recollect what is mine.”

WW NXT: Samoa Joe and injuries have a long-lasting relationship

Samoa Joe is not new to sustaining injuries. His WWE career has been a bumpy ride that has seen several injury bumps. When he moved to the main roster in 2019, he gt injured in no time and had to spend the majority of his run as a commentator.

WWE NXT- Samoa Joe:  Samoa Joe got released by the company owing to budget cuts after Wrestlemania 37. However, he got rehired in 2021 as a special enforcer to the NXT General Manager William Regal. Joe then started a storyline with the undefeated NXT Champion Karrion Kross and finally handed the latter his first defeat in NXT at the NXT Takeover 36 PPV. In the process, he also became the NXT Champion for a record third time in his career. We wish Joe a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in the ring dominating everyone.
