Carmelo Haynes etched his name into history books by becoming the winner of the NXT Breakout Tournament. He defeated the heavyweight Odyssey Jones in the finals of the competition in a grueling battle.

In the closing moments of the contest, Jones tried bashing into Hayes at the corner post, but the latter stepped aside. WWE NXT Results: Pete Dunne, the next challenger for Samoa Joe’s NXT Championship?

Samoa Joe scripted history at NXT Takeover 36 by humbling a dominant figure like Karrion Kross to become a record 3-time NXT Champion. He was present in the ring tonight to address the fact that who is next in the line to challenge him for the title.

He asked anyone in the locker room to step up and get his opportunity. After a while, Pete Dunne’s music hit, and out came the Bruiserweight. He went straight into the ring, exchanged a few words with Joe, and called out NXT General Manager William Regal to make the match official.

The segment got interesting with the interruptions of LA Knight & Kyle O’Reilly. A brawl erupts inside the ring and ringside, with Joe hitting a headbutt to Knight. Ridge Holand and Tommaso Ciampa also join the party as the latter attacked Dunne, and Holland came out to rescue him. In the end, it was Samoa Joe standing tall in the ring with the title raised in the air and staring at Dunne.
