WWE NXT Results: Former NXT Champion Adam Cole returns with a bang!

WWE NXT

WWE NXT Results: Tonight’s WWE NXT was headlined with MSK retaining their tag team titles by defeating Legado Del Fantasma. However, the talking point of the night was the return of the most decorated NXT Champion, Adam Cole.

The night kicked off with Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano, and Pete Dunne competing in a triple threat match to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship and main event NXT Takeover: In Your House 2021 event on June 13. As the match was nearing its end, Adam Cole rushed down to the ring with a steel chair and attacked all three competitors. He was viciously attacking the three men, and therefore General Manager William Regal had to come out with security personnel to take Cole backstage.

Cole called out Krrion Kross!

After the vicious attack, Cole was escorted out of the building, but he made his way back and called out current NXT Champion Karrion Kross.

He started the segment by reminding fans that he became the NXT Champion two years back on this very day. He also reminded everyone that he had been gone for two months, and still there wasn’t anyone to match his legacy.

Cole then cleared his intentions that he wants to be the NXT Champion again. His furious side pulled off a magnificent segment and then bragged about the current champion Karrion Kross. He said that Karrion is an overrated muscle head, and he does not deserve to stand in his ring. However, he was soon interrupted by Kross, who made his way to the ring with his wife, Scarlett.

The two stalwarts then exchanged vows before Cole said,

“You are not special, Kross. I am special. You are just the guy who’s carrying my property!”- And by ‘Property,’ he meant The NXT Championship.

Cole’s return has already put him in the title picture as he will be involved in a fatal 5-way match announced for NXT Takeover: In Your House main event match that will see Johny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, Pete Dunne, Karrion Kross, and Adam Cole fighting it out for the NXT Championship.
