Paul Heyman, Special Counsel to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, has orated his belief that ‘The Tribal Chief’ is the single biggest superstar in the entire industry today.
Appearing as a co-host on Talking Smack, the mouthpiece was forced to talk at length about what had transpired on Friday Night SmackDown between Roman and Drew McIntyre as well as the predicament his client could find himself in at WWE Survivor Series.
As of yet, Roman Reigns doesn’t know who he will face on November 22 as the WWE Championship will be decided between McIntyre and Randy Orton on the November 16 edition of Monday Night Raw.
However, according to Paul Heyman, it doesn’t matter who prevails on Monday because Reigns will be ready to enter the elimination spectacle as the most important champion in history and the biggest star in the entire industry today:
“Whomever walks into Survivor Series, as the second most important champion in WWE, will remain just that when they step into the ring against the single biggest superstar in the entire industry today. He is prepared for the variable that this Raw can present to him. We will have six days to strategize and prepare for whomever will fall at the feet of ‘The Tribal Chief.’”
After much speculation as to Paul Heyman’s role at the side of Reigns, the former godfather of ECW was keen to clarify the difference between his roles as Advocate for Brock Lesnar and Special Counsel for Roman Reigns:
“The difference between serving as Special Counsel than serving as an Advocate, is that I don’t need to advocate Roman’s position. He advocates it just fine himself. I only counsel him on what his position should be. When he wants to speak publicly about the Jey Uso situation [or any other matter], he shall, and will do so eloquently, and credibly.”
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have been a unit since the star returned to WWE in August. The WWE Universal Champion will battle the WWE Champion at Survivor Series on November 22.
