Drew McIntyre became a two-time WWE Champion on this week’s RAW – and sealed his Survivor Series Match with Roman Reigns!
The main event of this week’s RAW saw Drew McIntyre challenge Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. The Viper defeated McIntyre at Hell In A Cell to finally win the title for the 14th time after the Scottish Psychopath won the first two encounters between the two to retain the title he won at WrestleMania. While McIntyre got the upper hand early in the match, urging Orton to attempt an escape with his title via count-out, WWE official Adam Pearce would interrupt and re-categorise the match as no count-outs, no disqualifications. After a hellacious battle, McIntyre would eventually win with a Claymore on long-time rival Randy Orton.
Drew McIntyre also debuted a new entrance on RAW, wearing a kilt and yielding a Claymore – which he pushed into the stage, triggering pyro. The attire and sword had been presented to McIntyre earlier in the night by Sheamus.
WWE Champion McIntyre will now face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Survivor Series.
