WWE Raw: Seems like WWE Raw superstar Keith Lee is being considered for a heel turn by none other than the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The former NXT Champion has been working on WWE Raw pre-show dark matches for the past two weeks and has been doing short squash matches as WWE is looking to refine him and turn him into a monstrous heel.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has reported that WWE is willing to change Keith Lee’s character. Lee returned to WWE on Monday Night Raw after a long hiatus post Money in the Bank PPV. He faced the All-Mighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley on his return, who thrashed him quite comfortably.
According to Meltzer’s report, Vince McMahon has made his mind to turn Keith Lee heel, not only a heel but a monster heel, despite getting babyface reactions from the crowd in his dark matches.
WWE Raw: Can Keith Lee evolve as a heel?
Keith Lee was a huge draw on WWE NXT. He held the North American and NXT Championships simultaneously and stamped his authority on the Black & Gold brand. Upon his arrival on the main roster, he was pipped to get a massive push, but it didn’t happen.
Bookings were a major concern for Lee not getting the apt acknowledgment on Monday Night Raw, and then COVID-19 held his push as he was stuck with the virus that restricted him from training as things could have gone fatal.
The recent dark matches have given WWE trainers and management a glimpse of what would be apt for Lee. Vince McMahon is willing to turn him into a monster heel, and this could eventually help him escalate his main-roster run. What would Keith Lee bring to the table after turning heel?- Is he going to debut with the new persona this upcoming week on Monday Night Raw?- This remains interesting to be seen.
