It was a David & Goliath victory for Kofi over the two giants, and ironically both his wins came via a roll-up pin. Showering light on his impressive night, Kofi appeared on RAW Talk streamed live on the WWE Network, where he discussed his twin wins.

“It has been only half an hour since it happened, so I don’t know where I can rank [the night] among all my other wins and championships,” Kingston said. “But I will just say this: Kofi Kingston just pinned the WWE Champion.”

“Let me ask you a question: since Lashley has become champion, how many people have pinned him? Only one, and that’s me. What does that mean, bro? That’s why I always say, ‘when you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.’ You never know when your opportunity comes, and when it does, you have to capitalize. ”

Could this victory help Kofi earn a future shot at the WWE Championship?

From this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it was clear that Braun Strowman is out of the WWE Championship picture.- This means the Scottish psychopath Drew McIntyre is the legitimate challenger to take Lashley at Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. However, with an untimely victory over the reigning champion, Kofi has made a clear statement for getting involved in the WWE title picture for the second time in his astonishing career.
