Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around that you need to focus on ahead of WWE Survivor Series 2020. The latest WWE Rumor covers up things from across all three WWE respective brands Raw, Smackdown and NXT.
5) Vince McMahon Loved Recent RAW Match
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful was recently a guest on Monday Night Live. During this, he spoke about the match between [Matt] Riddle and Sheamus from RAW a few weeks ago.
According to Sapp, Vince McMahon loved the match and he was fired up afterward. Here is what he said:
“I heard from several wrestlers who were like, ‘Yeah, we thought he was going to be boo-boo-faced because he was going to lose to Sheamus really quick after debuting on RAW. We thought he was just going to go out there and mope around but he didn’t, he made Sheamus look really great.’ Sheamus was thankful of that and, apparently when they came through, Vince McMahon was very fired up about it.”
That was a pretty good match from what I remember. It sounds like the future is still bright for Riddle on the main roster.
4) Female Star Is Now a Free Agent
Sienna (aka Allysin Kay) noted on Twitter that she is now officially a free agent. She is best known for her time with IMPACT Wrestling and recently with the NWA.
Here is what she Tweeted:
She will likely have interest from WWE, AEW and IMPACT. It will be interesting to see where she ends up.
3) Thunder Rosa Not Interested In Signing With WWE?
Thunder Rosa has been making headlines over the past few weeks. It was revealed recently that she is under contract with NWA until the end of 2021. While saying that, there are still rumors that WWE and AEW are interested in signing her down the road.
During an interview with Busted Open Radio, Rosa seemingly ruled out signing with WWE. This is because she would likely not be able to work on any of the other projects that she is interested in (outside of pro-wrestling):
“I am signed with NWA and have another year with them. When it’s my time, it’s gonna be my time. When my time comes, I’m not going to come as just another person on the roster, mark my words. I’m coming for everything and I’m coming to be on top, just like I did this first time. My value is going to be bigger because I’m going to be a better wrestler, cut better promos, my body is going to be chiseled, I’m going to have a better MMA record. I’m gonna be like, ‘This is all I have to offer, what do you have to offer me?’ That’s what I want when I go to a bigger company. I want them to want me,” she said. “Because of all the projects I have on the side, it has to be a place where I’m able to continue working on what I’m working on. If I’m able to do it with NWA, then NWA. If I’m able to do it with AEW, probably. Now knowing what WWE is doing with things we have on the side, it’s going to be very difficult for me to work on my personal projects. Sometimes, those personal projects are the things that bring you the most joy in life. I don’t want that joy to be taken away from money. If that’s what I have to sacrifice, I’d rather be happy than be a slave.”
She seems like a fit for AEW. She has already appeared for them and they seem to allow more creative freedom for outside stuff than in WWE. There is still plenty of time though for WWE to offer her a ton of money, so we will have to check back down the road.
2) More On The Upcoming Vince McMahon-Netflix Project
News recently broke that Netflix is producing a new docuseries on Vince McMahon. Stephanie McMahon was recently a guest on the Token CEO podcast and shared some new details about the project.
Stephanie revealed that the docuseries is going to be in four parts. She also revealed that it will be “Netflix’s highest-budgeted docuseries in history”.
“For the first time ever, there is going to be a four-part documentary on the life of my father Vince McMahon and it is going to be on Netflix. That’s a really big deal. I’m totally nervous about it because I want to protect my dad, not that he wants to be protected.
This is going to be amazing and I can’t wait.
1) The Original Plans For Major NXT Storyline
Ridge Holland suffered a nasty leg injury on a recent episode of NXT. This forced him to get surgery and he will be out of action for the next several months. It turns out that prior to his injury, WWE had some big plans in place for Holland on NXT television.
According to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, Holland was originally supposed to be a member of Pat McAfee’s new faction.
The faction consists of McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, and Pete Dunne. Holland would have been in the spot of Dunne if he didn’t get hurt:
As Danny Burch alluded to on talkWRESTLING, Ridge Holland was the original plan for the stable with Pat McAfee before his terrible, terrible injury.
Pete Dunne was a late substitute.
Damn that sucks to hear for Holland. It sounds like WWE is very high on him and I am excited to see him get back healthy. Hopefully, he gets another chance to shine.
