WWE Smackdown: Desperate times lead to desperate measures, and this is something we saw on tonight’s WWE Smackdown. After getting pounded by Kevin Owens in a one-on-one match, Baron Corbin stole Big E’s Money in the Bank contract backstage and fled.

WWE Smackdown: Baron Corbin was yet again pleading for money

Yet again, Baron Corbin walked out with no entrance music and pleaded for money from the WWE Universe. He asked everyone in attendance to give him 1000 dollars, but Kevin Owens cut his segment by interrupting and saying that he needs to shut all this once and for all and stop embarrassing the company.

Corbin didn’t stop there and started begging Owens for money, $1000 to be precise. Owens first denied giving him money but later agreed with a twist. Owens said if Corbin can beat him tonight, he will give him a thousand dollars. But if he loses, he will stop embarrassing the people and WWE. The match ended in favor of Kevin Owens as the Prize Fighter rolled up Corbin for a pinfall victory and bamboozled his celebrations with a Stunner.

Corbin was baffled by the result as his misery reached new heights. Desperate for money and get things back on track, Corbin stole Big E’s Money in the Bank contract briefcase backstage after he denied a backstage interview from Kayla Braxton. Bug E did give him a chase, but Corbin already fled.

WWE Smackdown: Does that mean Baron Corbin is the new Mr. Money in the Bank?

As of now, the possession of Money in the Bank briefcase is with Baron Corbin. Therefore, one could assume that he is the current Mr. Money in the Bank and cash in on the champion of his choosing anywhere, anytime. Will Big E get possession of his briefcase again? It would be the highlight of next week’s Friday Night WWE Smackdown live from Phoenix, Arizona.
