WWE Smackdown: Loud cheers, massive pops witnessed during Friday Night Smackdown as fans return to the arena. Check videos here!

WWE Smackdown: History was etched tonight as WWE was finally back on track with the WWE Universe. Friday Night WWE Smackdown was held at the Toyota Arena in Houston, Texas, that witnessed a full-house attendance of 14,496 peeps.

After almost 70 weeks, WWE got hosted in front of a live audience, and to kick off the show no one was better than the CEO himself, Vince McMahon. The BOSS made his way out to the entrance ramp and said,

“Where the hell have you been?”

WWE Smackdown: 6-man tag-team match kicked off the show

The memorable & jubilant night kicked off with a main-eventesque 6-man tag-team match. The Usos teamed up with their cousin Roman Reigns to take on Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio & the Rated-R Superstar Edge.

It was a loud pop all throughout as the fans made the bout worth a watch. Edge spearing Roman twice in the match and grappling him with a crippler cross face using the Steel Chair rod was a sight to behold for everyone present in the arena.

Apart from the 6-man Tag-Team match, a quintessential Fatal 4-Way match between Seth Rollins, Big-E, Kevin Owens, and Shinsuke Nakamura kept the fans on the edge of their seats. It was a grueling match that saw some extraordinary moves, a jump from the top of the ladder, announce table getting broken, etc.

WWE Smackdown: Finn Balor also returned

It was a pleasing sight to see the first-ever Universal Champion Finn Balor returning to the main roster. Balor was not seen on WWE TV since his NXT Takeover loss to Karrion Kross in May 2021.

Balor’s return was nothing but a shock as no one in their wildest dreams thought of the ‘Prince’ returning to the main roster on the crowd’s return. Being a fan favorite, Balor received loud pops and cheers.
