WWE Smackdown Next week: One match has been announced in the WWE Smackdown match card for next week.
Seems like WWE has straight-up played with Finn Balor. Two weeks back on WWE Smackdown, WWE pushed Finn Balor as the potential face to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. A week later, Finn Balor was rocked to the timekeeper’s area by Baron Corbin, and all of a sudden, from being a top star, he got used as a jobber to yet again glorify Roman Reigns as the ‘Guy.’
Last week, Finn Balor was all set to get his opportunity to face the Head of the Table Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WWE Summerslam. The two men were about to sign the official contract for the match, but Baron Corbin and John Cena played spoilsport.
WWE Smackdown Next week: Baron Corbin attacked Finn Balor during the contract signing segment
During the contract signing segment, the Big Mouth Roman Reigns was telling Finn Balor how he will smash him at the Summerslam PPV and send him back to NXT. Reigns, as always, was rubbishing, but Finn Balor was patient enough to listen to him.
Reigns was first to sign the contract and then passed it to Balor. The Prince then took the contract and said that he would love to go back to NXT but as the Universal Champion. This pissed Roman for good. Just when Balor was about to sign the contract, Baron Corbin made his way out of nowhere and slammed Balor’s face on the table inside the ring.

WWE Smackdown Match Card: Corbin prevented Balor from signing the contract by taking him outside the ring and hit him with some fierce lusty blows. To take Balor outside the picture, Corbin threw Balor into the timekeeper’s area.
After what transpired between the two on Friday Night, Finn Balor vs. Baron Corbin has been made official for next week that will perhaps open up something meaningful for a broken Baron Corbin.
