WWE Smackdown results 24 July 2020: Major Championship match announced for next week’s SmackDown Live

WWE Smackdown results: WWE has already started to prepare for the next biggest event of the summer at SummerSlam and its road has begun from this week’s SmackDown Live. This week’s SmackDown Live hosted some interesting and some unexpected contests. However, which turned to be fans favourite later on. As the blue brand has been referred to as the land of opportunities and tonight was the time to earn the opportunity, as WWE decided to give some juncture to newcomers to use this golden opportunity.

We had a Fatal-4-Way match on SmackDown to determine AJ Styles’ next Intercontinental Championship challenger. It featured the likes of Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Shorty G/Chad Gable, and Drew Gulak.

It was an exciting contest which included all these high-flying athletes who wanted to earn this opportunity so badly, but it was Gran Metalik who surprised all and got the victory in this fabulous contest. With this massive win, Gran Metalik also earned the opportunity to face off against ‘the Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship next week on SmackDown Live.

Gran Metalik performs under the faction of ‘Lucha Party House’ on SmackDown. In this faction, he never got the opportunity to show his athleticism in a singles match, but this time when he got the opportunity to perform in singles he proved its worth by winning the match.

AJ Styles can not wait for this match anymore as the Champion Styles after this fatal – 4-way match entered in the ring to praise Gran Metalik for his amazing victory and earning the Championship shot. But who knew that Metalik would accept Styles appraisal by slapping him on the face and sent the message for Styles to wait until next Friday night, you will the next.

This match is going to be classic with this high-flying Mexican when he takes on AJ Styles, who has already beaten Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak and Matt Riddle in his very first Intercontinental Championship reign. It will be pure chaos when these two meet next week on SmackDown Live for the championship match.
