WWE Smackdown- Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor: For almost two months, we have been hearing John Cena will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at WWE Summerslam. However, in tonight’s closing segment of WWE Smackdown, Finn Balor, out of nowhere, came out and walked straight into the face of the Head of the Table Roman Reigns to challenge him for the Universal Championship.
WWE Smackdown- Roman Reigns vs Finn Balor: The challenge was unexpected, and the crowd went bonkers. When Roman Reigns didn’t answer for a while, the WWE Universe started chanting “Roman’s Scared.”- This just provoked the Head of the Table to accept Balor’s challenge.

WWE Smackdown: Finn Balor next in line for the Universal Championship
With the buildup John Cena has been getting ever since his return this past Sunday on the Money in the Bank PPV, it seemed like WWE is heading straight into Roman Reigns vs. John Cena as the main event of WWE Summerslam. Roman is Vince’s favorite pie, and the fact that he wants to show Roman Reigns larger than life figure, many have already assumed John Cena as just another lamb for the Universal Champion to hunt down.

However, with Finn Balor stepping up into the face of Roman Reigns has made things interesting, or should we say the same scenario has been created like Wrestlemania 37 when Edge got robbed with a triple-threat match. At Wrestlemania, it was Daniel Bryan who got the job done as the third man, and now it seems like Finn Balor is the one handpicked by Vince McMahon to help the apple of his eye Roman Reigns glorify.
WWE Smackdown: Will we see Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns vs. John Cena at WWE Summerslam?
Finn Balor has created a rift among the fans with his incorporation in this match. Roman has accepted his challenge, but there is no word on when this match will take place. At Summerslam? Possibly? A triple-threat match? Anything could happen.
