WWE Smackdown: What next for the ‘Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns?

WWE Smackdown: What next for the ‘Head of the Table’ Roman Reigns? Roman Reigns has been on Cloud Nine, and there’s no one stopping the Universal Champion. It all started when he won the Universal Championship on his return from COVID break in a triple-threat match against The Fiend and Braun Strowman. Fans witnessed the ‘Heel’ side of Roman Reigns, and since then, he has grown with utmost authority.

Many fans think that this is the best version of Roman Reigns they have ever witnessed on WWE TV, and to an extent, this fact is undeniable. Recently, he defeated Cesaro at Wrestlemania Backlash in an excruciating contest, and after the match got over, Seth Rollins laid a vicious attack on Cesaro. With the attack, it is clear that the feud between Reigns and Cesaro is put on hold for the time being. But, the question is, what’s next for the Universal Champion?

What could we expect for Roman Reigns on this week’s Smackdown?

This week’s Smackdown would be the first post-Wrestlemania Backlash pay-per-view. Things went in favor of the Universal Champion at the pay-per-view, but some family issues are still knocking on the door of the champ. Jimmy Uso’s return after Daniel Bryan’s departure didn’t pay any dividends for Reigns, as his own cousin brother is not in any mood to ‘Acknowledge’ him.

In the coming weeks, we could witness some rift between the two with Jey Uso involved. Jimmy clearly wants to be on his own and doesn’t want to be a puppet of Reigns like his brother Jey. Also, Jimmy hasn’t forgotten what Reigns did to him and his brother Jey at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view last year and wants Jey to at least be skeptical on that fact. Jey wants Jimmy to join forces with the ‘Family.’ But there is no chance Jimmy is doing that as of now.

Does that mean it could be Jimmy VS Reigns for the Universal Championship at Hell in a Cell?

It won’t be a surprise that in the coming weeks, we could see a buildup for a Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso at Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event as the two haven’t been on the same page since Jimmy’s return.

Also, it is about Jey Uso, who has forgotten what Reigns did to him at Hell in a Cell last year before he joined forces with the ‘Head of the Table.’ This week’s Smackdown is going to be really interesting.
