WWE SummerSlam 2020: Will Brock Lesnar return next month? Here is what we know

WWE News: According to WWE rumours, “the beast incarnate” Brock Lesnar will not be returning soon to compete at the biggest party of the summer at SummerSlam. And his hiatus is expected to be lengthy one this time.

As it was reported earlier that, Brock Lesnar would make his return at the Extreme Rules PPV to take on the Current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for SummerSlam. But that did not happen too, as all these rumours turned to dust when he did not show up at Extreme Rules. Moreover, it is more evident that Brock Lesnar is also not performing at SummerSlam and feuding with Drew McIntyre since Drew McIntyre is ready to defend his title once again with Dolph Ziggler in the following segments. However, all such things only suggest that Brock Lesnar might not make his ring return at SummerSlam.

Dave Meltzer made it clear that Brock Lesnar will not be at WWE SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer also claimed that Brock Lesnar’s current hiatus is expected to be a lengthy one. “Brock Lesnar is indeed not scheduled for WWE SummerSlam 2020. They note that the entire purpose of putting Drew McIntyre over so strongly in the WrestleMania 36 match against Brock was because ‘The Beast Incarnate’ isn’t returning to the company anytime soon,” revealed Meltzer.

Who could Brock Lesnar face once he’s back in WWE?

There was lot of buzz going for this discussion who could challenge Brock Lesnar once he makes his ring return. And it was also explained by Bobby Lashley that he wants to face Brock Lesnar once, which could be a dream match for him. If that match happens then WWE fans will witness the two of the greatest force in WWE take each other in a catastrophic match, as both these superstars like to destroy their opponents in half. And it will be a thunderous action when they will meet each other.

However, In 2018, WWE fans came close to seeing the two behemoths collide, but WWE included Roman Reigns in the feud and Brock Lesnar ended up fighting Reigns at WWE SummerSlam that year.

It all depends on WWE Chairman Vince McMahon what he thinks about these two super dominant force, will he be seeing this match as a flagship match for the company which results the rise in WWE viewership. Although, Lashley’ also waiting for the McMahon’s signal for this match and further what he said “Now is a really good time. I think I’ve done all the paying dues stuff that I’ve done since I’ve been back. I think my character is starting to develop a little more into being who I am,”.
