WWE Summerslam: The match card for this year’s WWE Summerslam is almost locked. However, with two episodes of Smackdown and one episode of Raw still remaining before WWE Summerslam, there is still room for a match or two to be added to the PPV event. Let’s look at two possible bouts that could be added ahead of the August 21 PPV event.

WWE Summerslam: Jinder Mahal vs. Drew McIntyre

Jinder Mahal isn’t a Summerslam material, but Drew McIntyre is. However, one could say that the current feud between Drew McIntyre is definitely heading towards a WWE Summerslam showdown.

Week after week, Drew McIntyre has been in action on WWE Raw. However, he has only beaten the hell out of Jinder’s sidekicks Shany & veer and is yet to get his hands on the Modern Day Maharaja. Drew McIntyre’s stature and his aura don’t allow him to miss the PPV event.

With no other challenger for him now other than Jinder, it seems like the Modern Day Maharaja will head into his second Summerslam courtesy of Drew McIntyre. Jinder vs. Drew seems almost locked for Summerslam 2021.

WWE Summerslam: Fatal 4-way Intercontinental Championship

Apollo Crews didn’t defend his Intercontinental Championship at Money In the Bank or Hell in a Cell PPV. He has been staying away from a title defense, but it seems like Summerslam could be the juncture where the Nigerian might defend his title in a Fatal 4-way match.

Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Sami Zayn are among the best mid-card performers on the Blue brand, and it seems like we could witness a Fatal 4-way match including all the above-mentioned names. With two more episodes of WWE Smackdown remaining before the PPV event, expect this match to get announced.
