WWE Summerslam: Fans are eagerly waiting for the Biggest Event of the Summer i.e., WWE Summerslam. The PPV is all set to give chills to the ardent WWE Universe on August 21 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Paradise, Nevada.
With Summerslam less than a month away, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak announced on Tuesday that an indoor mask is mandatory for everyone in the 12 counties, including Clark County, where the Allegiant Stadium is located.
The announcement was made in the wake of the rising COVID-19 cases. According to a new report released by Eater.com, on Monday, July 26, 1,124 new COVID-19 cases and 17 deaths were registered in Clark County. The mandate will start from Friday, July 30, for the betterment of people residing there. A new statement has been released by Ticketmaster regarding the attendance of live audience inside Allegiant Stadium. It states that,
“Allegiant Stadium takes the health and safety of its guests, employees, and staff very seriously. In response to rising COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of Nevada Emergency Directive 047, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask while inside the stadium. The State of Nevada & CDC do not currently require proof of vaccination to attend events. Allegiant Stadium’s COVID-19 protocols are subject to change as additional information is discovered or provided by the State of Nevada & the CDC.”
WWE Summerslam: Will the rising case forces WWE to rethink hosting the PPV event?
Despite the rising COVID-19 cases, WWE has stuck with its decision of hosting the PPV event at the Allegiant Stadium. The Stadium is an indoor domed facility and won’t allow any intruders. People can come and enjoy the show without worrying much about COVID-19 and its cases.
WWE Summerslam: The match card
With less than a month left for the event to commence, WWE has officially announced one specific triple-threat bout for the Raw Women’s Championship. The Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H would be defending her title against Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair.
Besides the triple-threat match, no other bout has been announced yet, but it seems like the Universal Championship picture might involve Roman Reigns, John Cena & Finn Balor. Talking about the WWE Championship, it looks like the legendary Goldberg will be facing the All-Mighty WWE Champion Bobby Lashley in what would be a match for the ages.
Another bout that is seemingly knitting for WWE Summerslam is Edge vs. Seth Rollins. The history between these two goes back to 2014 when Seth Rollins almost stomped a fractured neck of Edge. With the Rated-R Superstar back in perhaps the best shape of his wrestling career, Edge vs. Seth Rollins seems to be a main-event-worthy bout for Summerslam.
