WWE Survivor Series 2020: 5 reasons why it can be the biggest hit for WWE this year

WWE Survivor Series: After NXT won the night at Survivor Series 2019, WWE’s third brand will not be part of the 2020 edition of the fall pay-per-view extravaganza. Instead, this year’s edition will focus on the rivalry between traditional brands Raw and SmackDown. Champions from each brand will face off in a series of standard matches for the supremacy of their brands and neither one of them might put their titles on the line for this PPV.

Moreover, fans will also be treated to the iconic Survivor Series elimination tag matches which will have men and women tag teams fighting for the glory of their respective brands. Survivor Series takes place on Sunday, November 22 from the ThunderDome inside Orlando’s Amway Center. The pay-per-view will kick off at 7 p.m. ET following an hour-long kickoff show beginning at 6 p.m., with both streaming live on WWE Network.

Having said that let us check out the 5 reasons why WWE Survivor Series 2020 can be the biggest hit of this year for WWE

#5. It is RAW vs Smackdown

Survivor Series is one of the most classic PPV in WWE. The clash of brands and Superstars crossover, will spice up things in the build-up to the event. WWE previously announced that Sami Zayn will take on Bobby Lashley at Survivor Series. They are keeping that theme going for the event.

The New Day did a segment backstage where they revealed that they will take on the Street Profits at Survivor Series. Then Asuka showed up and said that she wants the smoke. Kofi said that she’ll be taking on Sasha Banks instead.

Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton was also added to the event. That match will put WWE’s two top champions against each other.

#4. Survivor Series- The Undertaker’s Yard

The Undertaker is one of the most successful WWE Superstar to ever step in this PPV with the record of 12 wins in his 14 matches. However, this year’s Survivor Series is going to be a fairytale for The Phenom as he has complete his 30-year incredible journey with WWE. For this special occasion, WWE will telecast “Undertaker special” in November which will have some of his best matches of Brother of Destruction, his rivalry with Shawn Michaels, and his epic matches with Triple-H and many more through out this November.

#3. This Could be last event at Amway Center

The upcoming 11/22 Survivor Series PPV will be built around the 30th Anniversary of The Undertaker, including him making a live appearance on the show.

A source states as of now, The Undertaker will not be wrestling at the event.

ThunderDome update: source states WWE is set to leave the Amway Center by the 1st of December. Arenas in North Carolina, Texas & Illinois were discussed over the weekend. WWE needs to find a spot where NO team plays + able to house the weight & power requirements of the setup.

#2. HEEL vs HEEL faceoff

There is no better place to enjoy the battle of two of the most dominant WWE Superstars in recent times especially when both of them are currently heel. The current WWE RAW Champion Randy Orton will take on WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at this PPV which is probably the biggest match of this year since the Wrestlemania 36.
As Roman Reigns beats Randy Orton in totally predictable Superman fashion in 2014. And Randy Orton will be looking for revenge this time when he faceoff against Roam Reigns this time.

#1. Superstars might return to compete in Survivor Series Match

There is no doubt that often WWE Superstars have made a surprising comeback during Survivor Series PPV. There are a lot of rumors surmounting next to Charlotte Flair that she could make her return in the next two weeks or so to lead the WWE RAW team. Following that she may also challenge Asuka after that for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship match at TLC.
