WWE Top Rumors: Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around. In this week’s Rumor we also see the build up of New Year’s first SmackDown episode, along with WWE RAW’s next episode and the first event of the year at Royal Rumble 2021.

5) Vince McMahon Changed His Mind Multiple Times During Survivor Series Qualifying Match

Chelsea Green was injured during her Smackdown debut a few months ago. This came during a fatal 4-way match that also involved Liv Morgan, Natalya, and Tamina. The winner of this match earned a spot on the Smackdown team at Survivor Series, which ended up being Liv Morgan.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Vince McMahon changed his mind multiple times after the injury to Chelsea happened. After the injury, Vince originally called for Natalya to win the match. This was changed to Tamina and then he eventually settled on Liv Morgan.

We think that he made the right call with Liv. We’re surprised to hear that she was his last choice though.

4) Erick Rowan’s Future

Former WWE star Erick Rowan made a special appearance on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rowan is not officially signed to AEW.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

”Regarding Erick Rowan, his deal was just to make a special appearance on the Brodie Lee tribute show as a surprise. Obviously anything can change in the future.”

We always liked Rowan and was surprised that WWE released him. We feel like AEW will eventually sign him to a long-term deal.

3) Who Is Favored To Be The Smackdown Women’s Champion At The End Of 2021

According to BetOnline, Sasha Banks is the betting favorite to be the Smackdown Women’s Champion at the end of 2021.

Here are the top 4 favorites:

— Sasha Banks +150

— Bianca Belair +250

— Bayley +300

— Carmella +800

We are going with Bianca Belair or off the board with Rhea Ripley. We don’t see Sasha holding onto the belt for a year straight.

2) WWE Interested In TikTok Stars?

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE recently gave tryouts to the Voros Twins, who are best known for their “Da Vinki” TikTok video that went viral. WWE was apparently very positive about their tryout.

Here is what Sapp wrote:

We spoke to the very colorful Voros Twins for an upcoming interview. The went viral with their “Da Vinki” TikTok after Colt Cabana turned them onto the platform. Their approach is “quantity over quality.”

They’ve had tryouts for WWE and ROH, and say that it’s hard to get a lot of opportunities like that because they’re in Canada on the west coast. WWE were really positive about their tryout and told them to focus on improving their social media, which they’ve done.

It will be interesting to see if their names come up over the next year in WWE. We will let you know if we hear anything more about them and their wrestling futures.

1) The Upcoming Plans For The Fiend & Randy Orton

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Fiend vs Randy Orton will be taking place at the Royal Rumble.

Meltzer says that this will be another ‘Firefly Fun House Match’. Here is what he wrote:

Ringside News reported that Fiend vs. Orton will take place on the Rumble show in another gimmick match. We did get confirmed that such a match is now on the schedule, and the tentative idea is to call it a Firefly Fun House match

Bray Wyatt faced John Cena in a ‘Firefly Fun House Match’ at Wrestlemania 36. This was a cinematic match.

We are excited to see what they come up with for this one. We are sure that it will be a lot of fun.
