Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Injury Update On Bobby Fish
According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline, Bobby Fish suffered a triceps injury during the men’s WarGames match. This injury will keep him out of action for the next two months.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Bobby Fish had triceps surgery on 12/7 but it was minor, not a tear and is expected back in about eight weeks. In his case it was said to be a freak accident. A piece of the cage pierced his elbow and severed the triceps.”
Bobby Fish seems to always have bad injury luck. We wish him the best and hope that he recovers quickly.
4) WWE Launching New Brand
According to a report from John Pollock and Brandon Thurston, WWE will be launching an ‘NXT India’ brand soon.
This new brand is expected to start taping shows as early as January:
It will be interesting to see if this works. WWE has been trying to tap into the Indian market for a long time now and we will see if this experiment works.
3) WWE Is Upset At Snoop Dogg
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez noted that there are people in WWE who are “very upset” about Snoop Dogg making an appearance for AEW.
For those who missed it, it was announced that Snoop will be appearing on AEW’s ‘New Year’s Smash’ episode on January 6th.
We’re not sure if we’re buying that there are very upset. They were probably upset in the moment but it seems silly to hold a grudge for someone making a single appearance. If Snoop continues to appear on the show though, we could see some anger from WWE’s side. Either way, Snoop Dogg probably doesn’t care.
2) Vince McMahon Is Mad At Some Main Roster Talent
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon is mad at the working ability of some of the big guys on the WWE main roster.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Vince McMahon threw a fit about the working ability of certain guys on the main roster, mad in particular about some of the big guys. He’s ordered some of the guys back to the Performance Center with two classes per week with Adam Pearce and Drew Gulak as instructors.”
An interesting part here is that Drew Gulak is someone who WWE trusts to work with their talent. That definitely hints at a trainer role in his future.
1) Specific Names That Vince McMahon Is Upset With
Mike Johnson of PWinsider has provided a follow-up report to what Dave Meltzer was saying. This has to do with Vince McMahon being mad at some of the big guys on the WWE main roster. Johnson ended up naming the guys who were included in this.
The names included in this group were Otis, Keith Lee, Dabbo Kato, Dio Maddin, and Omos (aka AJ Styles’ bodyguard). Here is what Johnson wrote:
As PWInsider.com discussed last week in the Elite section of PWInsider.com on the We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Name Show, there are a number of WWE talents who have been ordered to work on refining and improving their in-ring skills at the request of WWE management, said to be a Vince McMahon edict.
PWInsider.com can confirm that Otis, Keith Lee, Dabbo Kato, Dio Maddin and AJ Styles’ bodyguard Omos are among the contingent that the company has been working with on improving and refining their work inside the ring with those talents taking part in regular workouts at the WWE Performance Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The craziest name on this list (by far) is Keith Lee. The only thing that we can think of is that Vince wants him to lose a few pounds. There is no way that a guy like Keith Lee needs to work on his in-ring work, as he is incredible.
