xQc claims Twitch demonetizing Amouranth “saved everybody” on the platform, Pokimane remains Silence on the matter: Amouranth shocked everyone by revealing that Twitch suspended monetization on her channel. There will be no Advertisements on her channel, she also claimed that Twitch never informed her about this action and the reason behind it.
She posted this update on her Twitter account where she stated, “Yesterday I was informed that Twitch has Indefinitely Suspended Advertising on my channel. Twitch didn’t reach out in any way whatsoever. I had to initiate the conversation after noticing, without any prior warning, all the ads revenue had disappeared from my Channel Analytics. This is an ALARMING precedent and serves as a stark warning that although content may not ostensibly break community guidelines or Terms of service, Twitch has complete discretion to target individual channels & partially or wholly demonetized them for content that is deemed “not advertiser friendly”, something that there is no communicated guideline for.”

She continued, “This leaves open-ended the question of where the line is drawn. Many people complain about ToS being ‘unclear’ but at least there’s something to go by. There is no known policy for what results in a streamer being put on this blacklist. With characteristic opacity, The only thing twitch made clear is that it is unclear whether or when my account can be reinstated.”

xQc shared the views on the demonetization of Amouranth’s channel. When fans asked xQc opinion on this matter, he said, “It could be a sign from the Amazon-owned streaming platform, that they are beginning to crack down the “Hot tub Meta” which is controversial and going on for weeks. This situation is a “big topic” for all Twitch streamers, this could create headaches for other streamers too.”
He later added, “I think people should wait for at least a couple of days until Amouranth made the communication with Twitch. This is a big topic which can create problem for many streamers. As there is a lot of streamers who do the same content that she does. You guys would all say, ‘Look at the other guys that aren’t being banned.’”
Pokimane remains silent on the matter
On a recent Twitch stream, fans started asking Pokimane to comment on Amouranth’s channel demonetization. She remained silent on the matter and didn’t share her views on it. Pokimane recently did a hot tub stream where she memed the “Hot-tub meta” by doing a stream wearing a shirt with a bikini is printed on it.
