The 3×3 Pro Basketball organisers YKBK Enterprises are eyeing ₹100 crore from a three year deal for the events’ commercial rights. YKBK Enterprises have acquired the commercial rights for the Indian sub-continent for the 3×3 Pro Basketball League.

The 3×3 Pro Basketball league owners are reportedly in talks with India’s two leading sports broadcasters – Sony Pictures Network and Star sports . The YKBK Enterprises are gunning for a phenomenal value for a sports property that in its first year will not even go on television. The Season 1 is being streamed live on Facebook and YouTube. The league owner claims to be negotiating the broadcast deal from season two to season four.

The season one, to run till August 26, has 12 teams in fray for the league in the shortest format of Basketball. Being played amid the mega sports events of global magnitude like the FIFA World Cup 2018 , Indian cricket team’s tour of England and the Wimbledon championships, the 3×3 Pro Basketball League so far has not been able to make an impact befitting a ₹100 crore commercial sporting property.

The 3×3 Pro Basketball League organisers are looking at a turnover of ₹100 crore in three years from media rights sale, sponsorships will and other revenue streams.

The 3×3 Basketball will get a major boost in its global fan base and popularity as the format will make its Olympic debut in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. FIBA, the world governing body for Basketball, had introduced the 3×3 Basketball format in 2007. In a decade’s time, the format has already figured as a competition discipline in multi-national sports events like the Asian Indoor Games, Asian Youth Games and the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics.

The league organisers, to catch the imagination of people are organising the first season of the league in various malls.
