YuppTV has acquired the television and digital rights for the Indian Premier League 2018 season. The deal with Star India will make over the top platform YuppTV the exclusive broadcaster for IPL 2018 in the territories of Europe, South America, and South East Asia.

YuppTV has also acquired IPL’s non-exclusive rights for Australia.

The IPL 2018 action can be viewed live in Europe, South America and South East Asia as well as Australia on yupptv.com or via the YuppTV app on their smart TVs, smart Blu-ray players, streaming media players, gaming consoles, smartphones, and tablets.

“By bagging the exclusive digital media rights for the IPL 2018, we are enabling live, on-the-go access to the cricket tournament for our users. Our endeavour is to provide them with seamless, real-time access to all the matches and allow our viewers from across different geographical boundaries to watch their favourite teams in action on their preferred device!” YuppTV founder and CEO Uday Reddy said.

The IPL Season 11 is set to start from April 7 with the inaugural ceremony at the Wankhede stadium, to be followed by the season opener tie between defending champions and hosts Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

Star India had acquired all the IPL media rights up to 2022 for an awe-awakening ₹16,347.5 crore.

The 51-day, eight-team league will feature a total of 28 matches between April 7 and May 27.
